ALOHA Orange & Mango Protein Smoothie

aloha-orange-and-mange-smoothieThis one is adapted from a recipe right from the ALOHA website. I don’t like coconut milk or yogurt, so I use my cashew milk and a frozen banana. It looks like sunshine… on a cloudy day (LOL!), so I think I will dub it my “Syracuse Sunshine Smoothie.” (funny probably only to those who know how not-sunny, Syracuse sometimes is!) Or on a grumpy day, I will just drink it. Sometimes you just don’t feel the sunshine, but you still need the smoothie part. Am I right, my friends? Anyhooo. It is packed with vitamin-C from the citrus, protein from the ALOHA protein pack, and from the cashew milk. The banana is potassium supreme which is great for cramping. Love this one, post workout, and to make me feel like I am fending off those cold-weather germs!

ALOHA Orange & Mango Protein Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen mango- or ½ cup fresh, chopped
  • 1/2 medium orange or 1seedless clementines
  • 1/2 a banana
  • 1/2 cup cashew or almond milk
  • 1 serving ALOHA Vanilla Protein
  • 1 TBSP raw honey
  • ¼ - ½ water to loosen the mixture if too thick

Instructions

  1. Blend mango, orange, banana, milk, protein powder, and honey together in a blender, adding water until smooth. Enjoy!

    I might try this recipe with coconut,water ( I’m not=tmamfan of creamy smoothies) but I like the idea of the tropical flavour!
