Blogger 101: Best Resources All in One

Genius Bloggers ToolkitMy Blogging Journey

I started this blogging thing after my oldest daughter was born, because it was an assignment for grad-school. Seriously. Blogging wasn’t huge in 2008 so I started it way back then as a private family blog thing that I had to do.  While it didn’t really do anything but act as a place to put information about my kids, it was fun. So I kept it and finally recreated it into H.A.G. in 2012.

I started to use it as less of a personal space and more of a place to put my tips and memory of helpful things: recipes, cloth diapers, kid hacks and other randomness. Oh how things have changed…but slowly. I am not a rabbit. I am very much a turtle, and for other bloggers, you may know what I mean! What I have learned is that I can always learn more! I know. Lame. But it is so true! I learn everything from other bloggers who are doing it full time and better- there are lots of those out there now, and I have a few that I follow and learn from regularly.

So, those of you who get my blog posts directly to their mailboxes, number one, thank you! and number two, I told you that I would follow up on my favorite blogging educational resources which happen to all be found in the Genius Bloggers Toolkit…..They have something for everyone in this bundle.

These are my faves:

For Monetizing:

My first favorite item in the bundle is Media Kit Smash e-course. This one alone is worth $87. I love Melissa, and have followed her blog, Blog Clarity for a few years- she is a blog-genius and has so much great information on her site, but this course…it’s included in this blogging bundle. Did I mention the bundle is $97. So you get $87 worth right off the bat in my eyes by buying this bundle. It’s a whole course! People pay upwards of hundreds of dollars for courses like this- I digress.

For Content:

Genius Bloggers ToolkitMy second favorite resource is Make Your Old Content New Again: Six Steps to Getting More Traffic, Money and Followers By Updating Your Existing Posts by Katy Widrick (worth $14.99). Katy by the way is a

For Social:

This one’s big. Because my goal is Pinterest right now, I am obsessed with both Tailwind and Board Booster so this one, How to Optimize and Automate your Pinterest Account using BoardBooster by MaryEllen Bream (worth $27) is an investment that will pay for itself in dividend-followers for sure. And my (and so many others’ favorite Pin-Guru is Kate Ahl and she has an awesome How to Master Tailwind guide.($67.00) But I also love Saira Perl-Twitter Strategy for Bloggers ($44.00) who gave me double my following in a week- great information here!

For Blogging Basics:

I have been blogging for a while but honestly…I have slugged  my way through this. If I could do it all over again, I’d start with this book by master blogger Crystal Paine: Blog Start-Up 101  (usually $37.00).

For knocking my socks off!:

I didn’t even mention this video package from EBA- live. Yep. Ruth Soukup- my  fave de-cluttering and Living Well, Spending Less blogger whom I just adore(!) is offering up her super successful Elite Blog Academy ACTIVATE conference video package…(this is a $297 value!!!) This is over the top value for me, as I have wanted to go to this conference so badly, but never could- now I can virtually see all the sessions- ahhhmahzzing!
