My little girl is now officially entering grade-school. It’s a surreal experience that I love. I’ve always wanted a big family and I live it now. I just don’t always feel old enough to be the parent to a big-girl of almost 6, and three others who are close behind.
The first child, no doubt about it, gets the brunt of the parental pressure, and I see this today, as we mourn the loss of the little girl and reflect on the big-girl she’s become. So proud. So sentimental for us. So happy to have three other kids who love her so much. The big-sister finishing kindergarten. Look out first-grade, here she comes!
