Happy Monday! Did you have a wonderful weekend? It was so beautiful out and perfect fall days. I enjoyed a HUGE and wonderful nap yesterday in front of the non-stop football games, and it was lovely! A nap! Nothing better for a lazy day- or atleast a lazy, afternoon!
Now it is back to the week ahead, and according to the month long, plan for the week , this is what I am making for dinners this week:
What I am ACTUALLY making based on my grocery shop and what I already have is:
- Monday– Soup (from the freezer) and Pick your own Panini
- Tuesday– Yogurt Cornmeal Pancakes (From p.250 in Good Cheap Eats Cookbook), turkey bacon
- Wednesday– Crockpot Chicken Masala over Rice, vegetables
- Thursday– Burgers & Hotdogs, fries, salad
- Friday– Homemade Pizza
- Saturday– Away-
This is the end of our September month-long plan for “keeping it simple” and I have to say- It really is simpler to plan a month ahead in a basic way and then piece in what we need- but honestly, I went to the store for little fill-in trips more than I normally like to, so maybe I will change up the weeklies to get more specific.
Are you meal planning? Still having success with it? I have a new board on Pinterest where I am keeping all my past plans, and also have other boards relating to family dinners and picking eaters. Check them out:
I have loved linking up with some other blogs to get dinner ideas and meals, so check out OrgJunkie , Mommy Run Fast or Fitness, Health and Happiness for some great ideas at the link-ups for menus to use to simplify your recipe planning. Have a wonderful Monday, and week ahead!
