Happy Monday! I hope you all found yourselves in a wonderful weekend of sunshine like I did- finally Spring in the Northeast, and I for one, am extremely inspired to now clean up my house, inside and out, and get out and enjoy the fresh air. With all the crazy , gross germs of winter, it is a pleasure to open the window, and let in a nice breeze of fresh air!
This week started with a great family event celebrating my husband’s grandmother’s (102 years old) and his dad’s birthdays! It was really nice to see everyone on a Sunday, enjoy a beautiful day, and celebrate this monumental event.
Also nice was eating in a restaurant and having a full meal, as our beauty of a gas stove bit the dust this week…So I thought that my meal plan wouldn’t work, but it turns out that the only meal that we will need to forgo is the ham…not such a huge loss, as I have tons of chicken in my freezer to substitute a dinner in. With the beautiful weather, we can grill out, and because our oven is gas, we can use the burners on the stove still without a problem… It has given me pause a little, since I guess, I use my oven way more than I think I do, with making dinners and baking, but it is probably better for us to take a break from all those muffins and cookies anyway!
